My first time visiting Mbala turned out to be more fun than I had imagined. I had already read about the Moto Moto museum prior and the serene Lake Chila. We have been in many places in Africa, but it is hard to find one that can compete with Ndole Bay. My wife and two kids were on a self-driven through Northen Zambia. Ndole Bay is certainly off the beaten track, but it is worth every bump and pot-hole in the road. Camping on the beach that more looks like a tropical island, my boys enjoyed their first Scuba diving course, wonderful dining, great fishing opportunities and a game reserve (Nsumbu) that is rapidly recovering. Also, the staff were excellent. Do not miss this one. We came back with our batteries completely charged. This is a real gem! – Loek (the Netherlands)
